Up and out of bed before 8. Breakfast, FB and then on the road to Home Depot. Returned the sander and battery/charger. $130 refund. $40 was the sander. Online B&D sander was $70, so I come out ahead.

It took 5 minutes to get there, half an hour to get home on the only road across the freeway, during rush hour. It didn't help that two stretches of that road had the right lane closed off. They should have waited a couple of hours - this was scheduled maintenance not emergency stuff. It's a 3-lane road merging into a 2-lane road, with traffic lights which were useless because of the backup.

Watched a couple of storm chasers. Lunch was a steamer bowl - no salad. Mochi.

Watched my usual streamers then some more storm chasers.

Gardening today was only harvesting rose petals. The roses are growing so thick the blooms hide the buds, so I pluck them as soon as they start to shed.

Colorful. The yellow are the most aromatic, red the least. A similar sized bunch had dried and are now in a ziplock bag.

Pulled a couple of bee's friends, but most are still flowering. It won't be long, though, before I'll need to rake the garden to pull them all.

Watched PTI and half of TMZ before streaming. Two chatters, but mostly talked to myself.

It looks like the $800+ insulin (in vials) estimate was actually billed at $92. Due tomorrow, there will be a receipt in the package. There was no estimate for the second order for pens. And no way to see the bill until they send "it has shipped" email. Boo hiss.

While streaming I talked myself into breaking out the flat-bottom wok and making yellow curry shrimp. That turned out to be dinner, and it was excellent. With enough left over for one more meal.
1 can of coconut milk (creamy)
3/4 can of water [partly to wash out the stuff left in the can]
1 Tbsp Mae Ploy Thai yellow curry paste
cook over medium heat stirring until the paste is completely dissolved
Add 2 cups of frozen tail-off, shelled cooked shrimp
Add:
1 small can of bamboo shoots
1 small can of water chestnuts
1/2 medium can of baby corn
1/2 can of green peas (un-whirled)

Bring to a boil then simmer on low heat for 20 minutes

Serve over white rice.

I forgot to add Thai lime leaves. Next time.

Watched the last 2/3 of Hostile Planet: The Poles. Bear Gyllis was AWOL until the final 3-minute global warning message. Extreme close-up of his face, he has more wrinkles, and deeper, than the San Andreas fault.

Email from the head of People Ops at Polarr. The CEO punted the chat with me to him. Phone chat tomorrow at 4:30.

Plans for tomorrow:
Try to get out of bed on time
Play the piano
Get on the exercise bike
Gardening?
If the sander arrives early enough, buff out the scratches on the car
4:30 phone interview
