Weird Dream Channel

It's been a while since I remembered a dream. At about 6:30 this morning I went back to bed after a pit stop. I've been sleeping more soundly lately, thanks to the Cipro and better Hgl management. . No cats in the bed, I peeked into the front of the house, Ma'am was on top of the tree, Spook was on the porch lookout platform.

I fell asleep quickly.

Vivid dream, in color, very real. I've just taken a seat in a meeting room, similar size as a high school classroom, rows of chairs facing the front of the room. In front is a table with some random vases, most of the vases had a rose or three in them. From time to time someone would pick up a vase, turn to face the audience and talk for a few minutes, it could be what they did that week, or a funny story, or a joke. After speaking they would either take the vase back to their seat and hold it in their laps, or put it back on the table.

I didn't know why some would return the roses and some would keep them.

As people were speaking, a woman by the table kept looking at me and gesturing at a small bell-shaped vase with three red roses. I thought she was wanting me to speak, but I didn't feel it was my place so I just listened to the other speakers.

Then she comes over to me and plops a bouquet of a dozen white roses in my lap.

I took the hint, and started talking about myself, an introduction of sorts. Humorous anecdotes got a good response from the crowd, they listened well. I felt really good about what I'd said and how it was received, and noted that this group was similar to BASFA, but without a science fiction focus.

I still could feel the bouquet on my lap as I woke up. I hope I get to go to another of those meetings.

When I rolled over, Spook was curled up next to me. I petted her, and stayed in bed for a while but then nature called, and Spook followed me into the bathroom after a couple of minutes.
