Hgl and Tank stuff

howeirdShot up a full dose of Lantus last night and was up at 12:30 with low Hgl of 72. Klondike and two glasses of chocolate milk while watching trashy TV.
Crashed in bed around 3.
Up at 7:59, skipped the shower. Love that the bath mats which were laundered yesterday are so clean. Spook was not thrilled - she preferred the bed.
Lots of LVFD scanner traffic. I listened to that while watching FL fishing guy and three tornado chasers, one of whom saw a bunch of twisters.
Then to the local Petco, got an air pump, tubing, valve, air stone. Also two kinds of water test strips. Turns out the water in the tank is fine except it is very hard. Harder than the very hard tap water.
Some research says salt can help, but better to add something to the tank which has tannins. Driftwood sounded like the best answer so I ordered some online. The stuff in the stores is too big and expensive. Also had to order pre-filters online.
Lost two more neons.
The air stone is working and looks great, once I got the valve connected right side up.
mini pizza for lunch, salad and spaghetti & meatballs dinner. Watched th 1st 48 and half of Graham Noton on Sling on the Amazon Fire. Something wrong with the Fire, it kept crapping out. rewind and play cleared it up for a couple of minutes. Updated it, no change. Switched to Prime Video and it cleared up. Hmmm.
After dark I put food out for the strays and "yeller" was right there, and let me pet him. But Spook kind of scared him off. After he came right up to the screen door. He'll br back, so will Goldie.
Plans for tomorrow:
Songkran festival in Henderson. I should wear long pants for that.
