After breakfast and a phone call to a recruiter who had a remote job I might be able to do, I did some more research and decided angelfish would be a good fit in my tank. And along with them,  kuhli loaches and rasboras. With platys and swordtails as backup plans. So off to PetSmart, where the decision to not buy gouramis was made easier by two dead ones in their tank. :-(

No more signs on the tanks saying they were not selling fish till May 6, and their fish person came by right away to help. But first she had to deal with the dead ones, and I had to see what else they had. I grabbed two tubes of what looked like tall variegated leaf plants, then asked for 5 rasboras. She said there were only 3 in the tank, and the fish I thought matched the picture was really something else. So I bought 5 of them. I think she said they were some esoteric kind of tetra. "Red Minor tetra". Which of course cost 2x the rasboras.

I dunno, they look like rasboras to me. But I guess not.
Also bought a male and female "neon swordtail" which are not neons, but neon colored swordtails. Very pretty male, very plain female.

Home, planted the plants, which turned out to be kind of a scam because it wasn't two plants, one in each tube, it was three plants per tube, one tall and two short.

Have re-started the habit of keeping a bottle of water in the freezer to keep in the car when I'm out and about.

Watched SoFlo's stream while waiting for the fish to acclimate in their bags. The 5 formed a school right away, and claimed the bottom third of the tank at first, but all the fish ended up looking comfortable and none of the other fish attacked them.

So, out again to Trop, bought 5 kuhli loaches and two calico colored medium sized angelfish. Trop was totally out of plants.

As I was leaving home, realtor brought a couple to look at the house nextdoor. She told me the new neighbor is in assisted living and is not returning. She was a major whack job, I'm glad she's in a place where she can be well cared for.

Home, in the mailbox was a package from Thailand, DVDs and CDs ordered a month ago. Yay!

Watched more Florida keys fishing - he caught many snappers, a small barracuda and a massive grouper. And a nurse shark which he threw back.

The loaches did the loach thing and disappeared into the gravel, but the angels calmly floated around the tank, surprisingly being left alone by all the other fish.

Also in the mail was a catalog for KingSize, a place I used to buy a lot of my clothes. 40% off on shirts, which I needed, so I ordered 4, at $29 each (which didn't seem like 40% off) and was expecting free shipping on >$75, but they wanted $20. No way. Deleted all that. Boo hiss.

Delivered was the torq screws for the license plates, so now both plates are on the car with anti-theft screws.

Salad and frozen meal for dinner, watching Below Deck SY which just keeps getting more stupid (even the producers are getting sick of all the blatant crew PDAs), and PTI.

Streamed for 45 minutes, no chatters.

Mint chip ice cream and am watching season 2 of Are You The One? As MTV loves to do, they effed up the format by adding an 11th woman, claiming one man has 2 perfect matches. And the one he doesn't choose gets sent home with no match and no share of the million dollars. That just sucks. I've paused it at week 3, to be continued.

Plans for tomorrow:
Watch the fish
Probably watch streamers & TV
