Spook was in bed last night some of the time and in the closet later. Maam has been hiding on the shelf under the recliner side table

and has been very lethargic. She is not eating much, but she is eating. However she has lost a lot of weight so this morning I called the vet for an appointment, and unlike their web page they did have her and Spook as well as Heidi. We updated my phone number and took Heidi off my account. No appointments till mid-July but for an extra $35 I can bring her on Monday morning and drop her off. Between 7 and 8 am.  So I got the carrier out of the shed. It had a lot of Spook fur in it from her trim.

Drove to CVS and picked up the mystery prescription. It was from Urology, the doctor mumbled about it but didn't tell me he was actually prescribing it - then he went away for a week. CVS was supposed to text me, but didn't. Or maybe they did to the old number. Anyhow it's a short term (1 week) very strong antibiotic.

Noon the screen door installer arrived right on time. He gave me the whole sales pitch, but belayed that when I told him I'd been to the showroom and seen it in person. He showed me the process, and made the measurements. He said he would do the proposal over the weekend, I could pay the deposit online from an email link he would send Saturday or Sunday.

Got the email a couple of hours later, navigated a much less than intuitive set of pages, paid and got a receipt in email. 4-6 weeks to installation. Just under $700.

My dishwasher has been depositing soap on the silverware and glasses, one site claimed it was from hard water, and a fix was to run the machine empty with 2 cups of vinegar. I did that, it helped a little but I'm still getting a ring of soap around the inside top of each glass. Time for a new dishwasher. I've been researching for a couple of days, finally ordered a Samsung which was on sale, with delivery, haul away the old one and install, including the accessories. Another $700. I really wanted a wi-fi enabled one, but those start at $1200.

Before and after the installer, I tuned into the Festival of the Livingrooms zoom concerts. 11 am to 1 pm then an ice cream social. The first performer was great but then everyone else was horrible. I do not share the filk community total acceptance of people who can't sing and/or have annoying voices. I went and hung up my shirts from 2 days ago laundry. Spook tried to help.

FL fisherman was filleting his catch from yesterday and using the scraps to chum from shore for tarpon and sharks, but none showed up. Two storm chasers found storms, lightning but no tornadoes. There will be more storm chasing tomorrow.

Ordered a pizza from Domino's, and their wonderful cinnamon twist things. Arrived quickly, I ate some of the twists while watching PTI on the PC's YTTV.

Streamed for an hour

Made a salad, sat down to eat it & watch some Debris on Amazon Fire's YTTV when the air conditioner stopped (it was > 100° at the time), then there was a pop and the TV screen said there was no Internet connection, and then all the lights went out.

They came back on as I was entering an outage report, but not the aircon. Went outside to the breaker box and flipped all the breakers, but the car charger was flashing red and making rude noises.

Back inside, all the lights were back on. I rigged an extension cord from the livingroom to power the office, and got wifi back. Watched some YTTV, then paused it when I remembered something. The ground fault outlet in the kitchen was glowing red. I reset it, which restored power to all the office outlets. Disconnected the extension, plugged everything back where it belonged and watched the rest of the episode.

Pulled two pieces of pizza from the carton and tried to eat them, but it was all very thick dough, which is not what I thought I ordered. Tossed the rest.

And here I am.

Earlier in the day UPS delivered a package of drugs from Humana, the package was hot. In other news the new insulin prescription showed up in my Humana app, looks like t will be pens ad not vials, and should be here by the 24th.

Plans for tomorrow:
Phone baby sister and ask how it feels to have her birthday as a national holiday
Maybe phone middle sister too
There may be deliveries.
