howeirdFirsts today: put on cutoffs & a shirt. Dawned on me that the catheter tube could go through the fly. Swapped my slippers for Tevas before going out on the porch to wait for my ride.
Center Well clinics sent a bus with an elevator lift for me & my walker, and took me to the brand new clinic a couple of miles from my house. His GPS' choice of route was stupid, but we got there.
New clinic location had two of the old clinic's staff, but different doctors. New doctor is a DO not an MD and it shows, he did a minimal exam, gave me some medication advice, and promised to line up a pacemaker scan, check my Quest and Desert Radiology test results, find referrals for a podiatrist, wound care specialist, cardiologist and urologist.
Home by the same bus, Lean Cuisine lasagna for lunch. One of the clinic admins claimed Starbucks delivers, just use the app, so I checked and she was wrong. Uber Eats delivers Starbucks, but doesn't take the Starbucks cards. I have a Uber account and got a couple of frappuchinos delivered for dinner. Shot up extra insulin for that.
In politics, all the hype about Russian troops about ready to strike sounds like the WMD scare. Pisses me off that Biden is stirring that pot. I thought he was better than that.
Old Olympians are dropping like flies. There are only so many Games one can compete in before it's time to pass the torch. OTOH Chloe Kim FTW. OTOH, Lindsey Jacobellis won gold in her 5th Olympics, 36 years old, oldest woman to win gold. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White to retire after Beijing Games. I would not be surprised if Mikaela Shiffrin decided to do the same.
Gathered the bags from all the trash containers in the house and now have two big bags on the washer.
Delivered: Pistol grip collapsible grabber tool
fast USB charger and C-to-c cables. Charged my phone from 50% to 100% in minutes. WIN!
Tomorrow:
Put the trash in the bins outside. It's more complicated than it sounds
Sit in the car. Make sure I can get in & out. Probably not ready to drive, though
Watch Graham Norton and anything else non-Olympics Tivo has to offer
