Thank Goodness for cut-and-paste
Oct. 24th, 2006 12:15 pmMy 0% Visa card just passed into the now-you-pay-interest realm, and my new Amex 0% card arrived. So I did the balance transfer thing, and then went through Quicken to see which accounts needed to be updated. There were about 10 of them. All were do-able online.
Good timing, the balance xfer will give me a month's grace period, which is good when one has no income.
Also canceled a WaMu card which was 0% but had shitty Providian as its provider, which meant no download to Quicken, not even manually. And canceled a US Bank card which I thought I had zapped when it went past it 0% offer, but I guess I had only paid it off, not closed the account.
