Paycheck arrived, 31 hours' worth, and it's within $10 of what I came up with when I ballparked the deductions.

This is going to be an interesting 1040 year, what with 4 employers, all with different pre-tax deductions. At least it's all company-withholding so I don't have to file quarterly or anything rude like that.

Found a variation of last night's bug this morning. Also snagged a second set top box (STB) to test. This one does not have a hard drive so it can't record shows locally. The one which can record is booked till Monday, when I harvest the results of "record every day" and "record every M-F" tests. Then I need to fill up the hard drive and make sure it squeals the right way when it has no more room to record.

Was planning on going to Chef Lee's on Tasman/Lawrence at lunchtime for their world famous Wor Wonton Soup, but need to deposit the paycheck, which means going the other direction, Montague and N First. Maybe Thai Orchid will have seating by then. If not there are some other good places in that little mall across the expressway from B of A.

Last night's Big Project was scanning in slides from my Peace Corps days, most of them are from training in March-May 1975, a couple are from later in my service, 1976 visit to the north, 1977 wedding of a neighboring volunteer and his Thai boss. They are on my flickr site here. There are also some scary pictures of me pre-PC.
