Buildings falling

A plane can really only affect a few buildings here or there. Earthquakes can affect many buildings simultaneously. (Please don't pass this info on to the terrorists) In addition to omitting hot hail, you also omitted Tsunamis.

From personal experience, I'm gonna vote for earthquakes.
The only one I will absolutely avoid at all costs is Tornado.

Earthquakes - you can build things that can withstand them (The Space Needle and most of Japanese skyscrapers as good examples) The earthquake here in Seattle was actually pretty cool and surreal. My favorite natural disaster I've been through so far.

Hurricanes - ( in one word - Evacuation.) Been there. Done that. Slept through Andrew. Rode out Juan in a wooden concession booth at a ballpark (don't ask.) Spent the week of Nasfic 2005 dealing with the fact that my childhood was under water and half my family was stuck in the chaos and the other half scattered across the country.

Shootings - being shot = not pleasant.
Though you don't feel it until later.
Later, it hurts.

Tornados - the scariest natural or unnatural disaster I've ever been in, hands down.
It happens faster than you expect.
You can't really anticipate it.
And a few seconds or a turn of a few inches can mean the difference between life and death.
I wasn't actually scared until the sun came up and I saw the path of the F4 tornado through the woods, across the road and where the front porch was torn off a farmhouse and a grain silo was twisted inside out about 100 yards from my house.
The fact that I had never actually made it to the basement freaked me out.

Planes Hitting Buildings - That was just out of the blue, really... odds-wise about as likely as getting hit by a meteorite...

oh crap... I haven't been hit by a meteorite yet!
