Cat abdomen, with foreign body. According to further accounts from the owner, the cat ate a twist-tie. One large chunk of change later, the cat seems to be recovering well.

I've seen a few foreign bodies in both cats and dogs (dogs more often) -- at the current practice, people tend to blanch and then try to find another vet because the same procedure is likely to cost $1600-2000. Joys of living in Mountain View.
