'twas not the final denture clinic appointment. I will still be molar-less this weekend. Boo hiss.
The reason I went to this place instead of having my own dentist do it, is I have been using this clinic since 1982, they had their own lab which meant you went in for impressions one morning, came back for a fitting that afternoon, and had your teeth the next day. They don't have their own lab anymore. Wish I'd known that. Not that I would have gone elsewhere - they are very good at what they do, since dentures is all they do, and since most of their clients are low-income, the prices are low and they have easy payment plans which saved my butt when i had just moved to the Bay Area from Seattle and was being paid like I was still in Seattle. I can afford the higher prices now, but why pay more? My last partial was done by my (then) regular dentist, and it was not as good as it should have been. I fired her because she kept billing me over and over again for the same service. My current dentist is a lot better, but she doesn't do much prosthetic work.
