During last night's BASFA meeting, a comment was made which caused many folks in the room to react with shouts of "not while I'm eating" and such - it was clear to me that for many, perhaps a majority of the people in the room, the words were translated into vivid images in their brains.

I don't seem to have that particular talent. To me, spoken words remain audio in my head, written words remain text and it takes actual video coming into my eyes for me to see an image. Except I do dream in full Home theater audio/video.

So I'm curious about the rest of you. Hence the following poll, and please comment as well.

I am definitely a kinsthetic - neither visual or auditory as my primary sense. I have a hard time visualizing things. Auditory stuff is better, but still often gets jumbled.
My primary sensory compass is touch/feeling.
Reading or watching a scene for me mostly involves processing what it feels like - and I have a horrible memory for details in something I have read or seen.

I also dont get squeamish about eating while hearing/seeing/doing icky stuff. I got over that back in Comp Anatomy finals week, when it was either dont eat lunch or eat in the cat dissection room while reviewing splayed-open stinky-been-9-weeks-in-formaldehyde kitty parts. You will never find a situation where the Bibbit chooses "dont eat" as a viable option...

Hmmm. I thought kinesthetic was motion-related, as in remembering via body movement, dance, etc. As in kinetic energy. Poking around the Internet I see that it's been lumped together with touch, which IMHO is not a valid grouping. A lot of memorization for me as an actor involves my body remembering where it is supposed to be, and in what position - it's a different memory process than remembering how something feels when I touch it. At least for me. YMMV.
