Former Fox "news" pretty face turned  Bush press secretary Tony Snow passed away. Future generations may see him as a talented fantasy writer whose created a world where the evil despot was really a kind-hearted, well-meaning patriotic hero. He believed this fantasy, and wanted everyone else to believe it too.

The role of press secretary is too often given to a member of the press. It should not be - the very act of offering a reporter the job is a form of corruption, and accepting the job is selling out. It's a role for a politician, not for someone with integrity.

But still, I am truly saddened he died so young, eaten away by colon cancer. nobody deserves that. He was almost 5 years younger than me.
