I turned it off after half an hour when it was clear the two candidates were more interested in scoring cliché points than in addressing the questions in the time allotted.

We could have made a fab drinking game out of it. Take a drink each time a candidate blurts out a cliché or particle of rhetoric. Two drinks for:

In harm's way
National security
our troops
Washington
Billion dollars
ultimate sacrifice
Bail out
Rescue
9/11
Last 8 years
Main street
tax cut/tax break
responsibility

Democrats take a drink each time McCain says "my friends"
Republicans take a drink each time Obama accuses McCain of saying Obama is not experienced

One drink each time the moderator says something about the format which he is doing a shitty job of enforcing
Three drinks if either candidate stays within the time limit

Yeah, we'd be hammered pretty quickly. *sigh*

I didn't listen to the whole thing either, though I had the excuse of going to a Canton meeting. I got about the first half-hour on NPR, but I think I probably would have turned it off about the same time. I didn't feel like we got much in the way of answers to questions at all.
