While the protesters were taking over the airport and effectively shutting down all air traffic in the country, I was waiting for a train. Kind of like that joke about "someday my ship will come in and with my luck I'll be at the airport". I am now 18 hours further away, in Haad Yai, where I worked my final Peace Corps year. In the morning I'm taking a mini-bus to Phuket, where I expect to relax on the beach for 6 days.
