Fu Manchu day at work. I finally managed to bore the class to the point of yawning. My work is done. They did remark that they felt more comfortable with me looking more comfortable, so...
You're right. It does go better with the Hawaiian shirt. I like it! Interesting that your comfort level affected their comfort level. I wonder how often that is the case (in general, I mean)?
Always. But you knew that - it's what you do when the person on the crisis line is losing it, or you need to teach a group of apprehensive abuse victims, or you're challenged to a round of Regency dancing. If you make yourself calm and comfortable, it rubs off on the people around you. It's one of the things which impressed me about you - you're comfortable with yourself.
True, true. I knew I knew that. ;~) But if I seem comfortable with myself, I believe that may be a relatively recent phenomenon. Thank you for that compliment.
So, are you saying you really weren't comfortable in the white suit and goatee??! If so, it's a shame if the suit is never worn again.
I was "on stage" in the white suit & goatee, and never thought about it being comfortable or un-. Now that I think about it, the suit was very comfortable, it is light-weight, a good fit, the pants were even lined. The shirt collar is about 1/2" larger than my neck, so the tie was not a problem. The shoes are a perfect fit.
But it looked uncomfortable to my audience, which was the desired effect.
You're right, it would be a waste if I only wore the outfit once, and it's possible if I continue to lose weight that by ther next con it will be too big on me. But I can probably get back what I paid on eBay, and I now know where to get a white suit in a smaller size...and the shoes will always fit. In fact, now I want a pair of black Wellingtons too.
