Nope. One-time publicity stunt to push their allegedly "made with good ingredients/good for you" line of munchies. I have not seen any improvement, it's still the same sugar-laden crap. And I hope it stays that way. :-)

The thing that I don't like about starbucks is that it takes FOREVER to get a simple cup of coffee. Too bad they don't have a big pot of plain coffee for those of us who are in a hurry.

Me, hyper? I only wish :) It is so hot here that I pretty much just sleep. What a way to spend my vacation. I do have some Starbucks ground coffee here, I may try some tomorrow to get me going.
If I have a lot of time I don't mind going there but I don't think that I have ever waited for my coffee for less than 20 min no matter how simple my order was or how many people were there.
The fat Korean woman that I knew was a big baby that still lived at home and her family did not even like to take vacations because they were afraid that she would not be able to take care of herself or make food, and yep, she was supposed to be my supervisor. She was good at her own job but did not have a clue what real life is. Her family left pots of food in the fridge for her to warm up. And it just looks unnatural and bizarre because it is still rather rare.
Sounds like your Starbucks baristas are as sleepy as you are. :-) Up here in the land of "we don't need no stinkin' siesta", I've never waited more than 5 minutes for anything except a blender drink. Ditto Bangkok, Phuket, and Chengdu China.
You only knew one fat Korean woman? I would expect Sandy Eggo to be full of them, what with all the military imports raised on PX food.
