Redemption
Aug. 26th, 2009 10:49 pmHad he been almost anyone else, Teddy Kennedy would have been prosecuted for DUI and vehicular manslaughter in 1969, gone through a highly-publicized trial, and his political career would have been over. At the time, I was infuriated that he was given a free pass. In the subsequent 40 years, he did much to redeem himself.
