Had he been almost anyone else, Teddy Kennedy would have been prosecuted for DUI and vehicular manslaughter in 1969, gone through a highly-publicized trial, and his political career would have been over. At the time, I was infuriated that he was given a free pass. In the subsequent 40 years, he did much to redeem himself.

You never know. I guess that's why we are taught to 'not judge' but still.

Ted Kennedy is one of my heroes. I'm glad though, I never had to be his wife or lover. Men like that are hard on women.
