The Weird Date Channel

She wrote to me Sunday, responding to my match.com ad. After a couple of rounds of email and a phone chat, we set a coffee date for tonight (Friday).

Nice person, good conversationalist both talking and listening, and we had a lot of uncommon things in common. She sings in a group which gave a concert for an alumni group I belong to (yes, I was there). We both used to folkdance at the same places. We both are fans of a coffee shop/concert venue in San Jose, and we both are fans of a particular duo who performed there. And so on.

We talked till they closed the coffee shop, about an hour and a half, then walked together for another half hour.

I asked if we should do this again. She said maybe, but she was seeing someone else she had met on match.com.

WTF?
