There wasn't an option for 0 instances of wanting to throw it away. The main reason I wouldn't recommend my LG phone is just that most of my friends want smartphone features, and mine's not that fancy.
Verizon works pretty darned well. I occasionally get dropped calls, but it's usually because the other person lost signal. However, sometimes the other person is my Mom, who is also on Verizon, as we two have a joint account.
I went to AT&T when I could barely get signal with Verizon at my house and my daughter had 5 bars, yep she had AT&T. Normally, at most of the places I go to AT&T has usually had better service, so I'll stick with them. I currently have a Motorola Razr, but I would like something with 3G and a real QWERTY keyboard. I wouldn't mind if it runs Google OS. Must have AT&T though. Still waiting...
I never use my cellphone except when I'm traveling and even then when it rings I look around to see why nobody's answering their phone. I collect minutes that carry over so much that I have a gazillion bazillion mazillion minutes forever into infinity. My phone is elderly but it still works. I should get a new one. Maybe with a camera.
But that would involve new charges. And oh, it's AT&T, and it's an add on service with our whole package for the house with DSL and the landline and the other cell. The whole house comes to less than $150, and this one phone is $7, so you tell me. The other phone has a camera. Fancy, huh.
(I have other cellphones, but this question was about my "main cell phone.")
I have a Treo 650; while I love it, I would go for a later generation Treo or Centro. I've dropped it several times and it still works. It runs the vet programs I've downloaded into it. It makes calls, organizes my schedule and plays games. What more could I want?
My carrier shows NO bars where I live, but that is no surprise. As far as I know, nobody gets cell calls at my house.
Actual number of displayed bars at home varies, and was EV 1 / 1X 1 last I looked, but I haven't had trouble with dropped or missed calls or txts. I rarely get reception at work, but my office is underground, with lots of concrete and metal. Sometimes things get through, but not consistently. My last trip was also to a location with poor signal regardless of carrier or phone. Since I'm expanding on everything, my phone is a Samsung Rogue, and I quite like it.
