Bank of America added its name to the short list of lending institutions which have halted foreclosures. It's temporary and they only did it because they didn't want to get sued for using unread documents as evidence. If they can do this on their own, I'd bet that Obama and Co. could have halted foreclosures completely and forced banks to re-negotiate bad mortgages.

Nah, midterm changes are nothing new. I'm sure there are dissatisfaction on both sides.

More importantly, Obama is a man. He makes choices. Some times good, some times bad. Over all, I think his head and his heart are in the right place. Would I have changed something if I could? Yes, of course. Did he fail on some stuff? Yes, of course. His most gutsy move, IMHO< is to force the spineless Democrats into the Health Care Reform. Yeah yeah yeah, it's nowhere enough, but a heck better than before.

But I am 100% sure that the US is a much better place than during the Bush Era or if McCain had won.

Because our daughter, who has scoliosis, will not get rejected for "existing conditions" later.

Because our insurance, which runs for $1300+ a month, has been raising 25% every year for the last 6-8 years and we keep having to get less coverage.

The system is broken. We need change. Get the uninsured insured. That will drive down the cost of emergency room care that everyone is funding.

Eliminate the medical handcuff of pre-existing conditions. That will allow some people to change jobs and get more people on to the health care system.

Employee funded healthcare is a fluke of history. It's broken. It breaks for small businesses, it breaks the unemployed and self-employed. The big companies are now making employees paying most of the premium.

Personally, I would not touch Kaiser unless there is absolutely no other choice.

Well, we have the spineless Democrats for not pushing for regulations, but then the crazies would have even more fuel in their tank ("govn't take over and such BS).

As for not able to afford. You didn't read carefully, did you? $1300+ for a family is not affordable NOW.

As for emergency rooms. I just respectfully suggest that you go to emergency rooms some times and see for yourselves. I know FAR too many people with no insurance. I speak from my experience. If you do too, great. If not, then you are just being insulting.
