My Medicare card arrived today. From Baltimore. Not valid till November, though. It's a cheap paper card, I make more professional looking ones on my PC.
Just A. I have not talked with HR yet, but from everything I see on the SSS web site, in order to get the low co-pays my work plan offers, I need to stay in the work plan. There is nothing there or in anything I have received from 47 insurance companies hoping to get my money, any hint that my work plan premium will go down. I'm still 2 months away, so am not in a hurry to find out.
Yes, we had better coverage through the military (Hubby is retired Navy) but now with SS and Tri-Care for life, we have not paid one dime for Drs or extended hospital stays. It actually costs us more since SS but all that time he spent in the military is paying off now that we are geezers!
