One more thing

My Medicare card arrived today. From Baltimore. Not valid till November, though. It's a cheap paper card, I make more professional looking ones on my PC.

It might be a cheap paper card, but trust me, it is worth it's weight in gold.

I look at myself and wonder how in the hell I made it this far!!

Congratulations, a milestone.

Hmmm. A&B, or just A? Don't your premiums (or those your employer pays) drop in either case? They should.

Yes, we had better coverage through the military (Hubby is retired Navy) but now with SS and Tri-Care for life, we have not paid one dime for Drs or extended hospital stays. It actually costs us more since SS but all that time he spent in the military is paying off now that we are geezers!

Your insurance might change once you get medicare, ours did. Usually private insurers want medicare to pick up the slack.
