Plucked

For breakfast I increased my carbon footprint with the last of the slightly charred Pepperidge Farms apple turnovers. It's a tricky baking routine: preheat the oven to 475 then bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes. New oven holds heat better than the old one, so 25 minutes was a bit too long. Edible, though. After breakfast I did another batch, baked for 20 minutes, then added 3 more minutes, and they are perfect, carbon-free. But not carbo-free.

Since it was below 90 degrees outside I hauled the hose out and watered all the desert plants in the front yard. Mostly aloe, one cactus, one huge flowering Texas sage bush. The bees have been all over the sage, it bloomed in response to the lower temps.

Read the news, played on social media, watched Below Deck Med, which again has an injured crew member. The chief stew is a stubborn idiot, and her one remaining stew is being worked to death, plus the deck crew is being forced to wait tables in addition to their usual chores. The captain is also clueless on this, she should be overriding the chief stew and bringing back the helper chief stew let go.

Once again I got lost on the way to the dermatologist. Finally sat down afterward with the car GPS and saw it tells me to turn left instead of right on the last turn.

Got there at 2:10 for a 2:15 appointment, was not seen until 2:45. Jimmy the Nurse checked on me momentarily then sent in a medical assistant to pluck the stitches out. No numbing, and it hurt.

Home, the mailbox was empty. I wonder if my mail was stolen (there has been some of that happening here) because USPS said I had a package from Thailand and another from Humana.

Checked with the Thailand sender, their tracking said it was "paid for" but not where. There should not have been anything to pay. I may need to take the tracking number to the PO to get answers.

Home, played with Jade a little. Spook was in hiding a lot.

Saw an ad for a new Togo's, tried to order, but they don't deliver. So I tried Subway, ordered a few sandwiches but they don't have pastrami. The meatball melt was pretty good. No salad today.

No beta blockers last night or this morning, new BP meter arrived and my blood pressure is back to normal. Urinalysis came in, no UTI.

Delivered - Cox sent some equipment they should not have. Contacted UPS to refuse it. They will pick it up in a day or two.

90 Day Single Life and its associated pillow talk. These people are single for a reason.

Entered the many blood letting appointments in the calendar

Tomorrow:
Put the package out on the porch table for UPS just in case
Mailbox in the morning, if no package then PO
Blood letting at 1:30. Change my 10/20 appointment - that's my PCP visit
Lots to watch on Tivo
